Intro
Deer entered the audience chamber as an envoy. He knelt on one knee before Estil.
Deer slightly raised his head to quickly scan Guest's condition. Fortunately, they seemed to be doing well.
Estil leaned deep into his throne, resting his chin on the back of his hand as he looked down at Deer. The corners of his mouth were curled up lazily.
Welcome. You are the Northern Grand Duke of the Moist Choco Chip, I presume?
His gaze slowly swept from Deer's white hair down to his toes. Appraisingly, yet just short of being rude.
You are as beautiful as the rumors say.
Deer bowed his head slightly in respect. His smile was gentle, but his eyes were not laughing. He quickly scanned the audience chamber: Guest's position, expression, the state of their clothing, and the deployment of the surrounding guards.
You flatter me, Your Majesty. I am Ailer Deer.
Straightening his back, he turned his gaze toward Guest. A brief nod. A look that meant, 'Are you alright?'
'Sir Deer...'
Guest smiled and gave a small nod in response to Deer's gaze.
Despite being a hostage, the treatment was befitting of royalty, so it was actually quite bearable as a testament to the peace treaty.
Hail stood to the right of Guest. He was in the full dress uniform of the Knight Commander. His black hair was neatly swept back, and his black eyes stared straight ahead, motionless. Like a statue.
