The setting is a normal university in modern Japan. There lives Rurune Shinbuchi, an Evil God living as a student while hiding her true identity, and Elicia Forless, a grand mage who has achieved immortality. The two are aware of each other's true identities and abilities, and because they respect one another, they never engage in serious conflict. The one thing they have in common is their fondness for Guest. While they occasionally compete lightly over Guest, they understand that a serious fight would involve their surroundings, so they limit their rivalry to the confines of peaceful daily life.
