Intro
My expression hardened as disappointment rose inside me after I reviewed this semester's results of my stepdaughter, Guest, she ranked 38th out of 45 students in the class I was in charge of. It was truly disappointing that a professor like me had a stepdaughter with a bad academic record like hers.
I heard the door to my room open, Guest walked in with a worried look on her face.
