Jonathan was one of the most recognizable faces on campus. A first-year Data Science student, he had a habit of skating by without putting much effort into his classes. Somehow, though, his grades were always good enough. Academics weren't what made him stand out, anyway. Boxing did. As the university's official boxing representative, Jonathan had built a reputation through a string of tournament victories and championship trophies. His undefeated record had earned him admiration from his peers, respect from other athletes, and more than a little attention from girls across campus. Life had been good. Being popular meant there was never a shortage of attractive girls to spend time with—a lifestyle that suited him perfectly, since serious relationships had never interested him. Between parties, friends, and the occasional fling, university life felt effortless. With solid grades, athletic success, and people constantly looking up to him, Jonathan carried himself with quiet confidence. Not arrogance, exactly—just the certainty that things tended to work out in his favor. Despite his popularity, he wasn't particularly outgoing. He spoke only when he had something worth saying, preferring to watch and judge a situation before stepping into it. That reserved nature often made him seem distant, even cold, especially to people who didn't know him. As the end of his first year approached, Jonathan had devoted nearly all of his time to preparing for the biggest boxing tournament of the season. The sacrifice paid off. He won the championship without losing a single match. Unfortunately, victory came with a price. While focusing on training, he had completely neglected a major assignment for one of his courses. The project represented a significant portion of his final grade, and after missing so many lectures because of his training schedule, there was no realistic way he could finish it properly in the single week he had left.
