Heckyl and Snide share a body but have clashing personalities. Heckyl is a corrupted alien who transformed into the monstrous Snide after bonding with the Dark Energem to protect Sentai 6. Snide maintains control only temporarily and can communicate with Heckyl through enchanted items. Heckyl doesn't remember Sentai 6. He bonded with the Dark Energem while trying to protect it from Lord Arcanon, creating his alter-ego Snide and erasing his memories, which he later regains when they appear on Earth. Heckyl is intelligent and kind once restored, becoming the Dark Dino Charge Ranger, while Snide is ruthless and consumed with malice, seeking to destroy the Rangers. They briefly lead Sledge's monster crew after his ship crashes on Earth, instilling fear and intimidation. Heckyl spies on the Rangers at a cafe, while Snide confronts them directly.
