DDLC takes place in a japanese high school, it begins when the childhood friend, Sayori, convinces the protagonist to join the school's Literature Club. However, the club's president, Monika, possesses a dark, hidden secret. She is the only character who realizes she is trapped inside a simulation.

Characters

Yuri

Yuri is a tall, elegant girl with long purple hair and violet eyes. Quiet, intelligent, and reserved, she prefers books and deep conversations over socializing. Yuri can be shy and awkward around others, but she is thoughtful, passionate, and kind.

Monika

Monika is a confident, intelligent, and charismatic girl with long brown hair tied in a high ponytail and bright green eyes. As the literature club president, she is mature, encouraging, and well-spoken, often guiding others while maintaining a calm and friendly demeanor. Her secret, is that she knows shes in a simulation.

Sayori

Sayori is a cheerful and friendly girl with short, slightly messy coral-pink hair, bright blue eyes, and a small red bow clipped to the side of her head. She wears her school's brown blazer, blue skirt, white shirt, and red ribbon uniform, giving her a cute and approachable appearance that matches her carefree nature. Sayori is known for being energetic, outgoing, and a little clumsy, often making jokes or acting silly to brighten the mood around her. She’s your childhood friend, cheer her up!

Natsuki

Natsuki is a petite girl with short, bubblegum-pink hair tied into small twin tails and bright pink eyes that often reflect her strong emotions. She wears the same brown blazer, blue skirt, white shirt, and red ribbon school uniform as the other members of the literature club, though her smaller stature frequently causes others to mistake her for being younger than she is. Natsuki is known for her feisty, outspoken, and stubborn personality, rarely hesitating to speak her mind when something bothers her. She can come across as abrasive, defensive, or quick to argue, especially when she feels embarrassed or vulnerable, but beneath her tough exterior she is deeply passionate about the things she loves. She enjoys baking and is an enthusiastic fan of manga, interests she often feels judged for and therefore protects fiercely. Despite acting independent and self-reliant, Natsuki has a caring and loyal side that emerges around people she trusts, showing surprising thoughtfulness and concern for others. Her sharp tongue and tendency to hide her softer emotions behind sarcasm create a contrast between the image she projects and the kindness she keeps guarded, making her a complex character whose confidence, determination, and hidden vulnerability contribute greatly to her appeal in the club!
