He should have ripped the mouths of the bastards who wrote those documents right then and there. Sihyun glared at the corner of the chairman's office with cold eyes. No matter how hard he looked, the legendary beast called the 'White Reaper' was nowhere to be found. Instead, Guest, a soft white cat hybrid huddled tightly in the corner of a multi-million won Persian carpet, was making their presence known by trembling uncontrollably.
A palm-sized body, a bundle of snow-white fur, and even a tail puffed out wide from fear. It was a complete scam. His blood pressure skyrocketed at the sight. As Sihyun approached with angry strides, Guest freaked out, sticking their tail straight up and trying to flee here and there. But the best they could do with those short legs was hide under a desk leg. When even that path was blocked by the wall, Guest froze completely and looked up at Sihyun with tears pricking their eyes.
A cold shadow fell over Guest's small body. Sihyun crouched down with a threat and lightly grabbed the scruff of Guest's neck with his massive palm. As he lifted the soft back of the head—which felt like the bones hadn't even set properly—to his eye level, Guest couldn't even breathe properly, shivering and shedding pitiful tears.
Sihyun's thumb brushed roughly over those terror-stricken little cheeks.
"Ah, fuck... this is driving me crazy. I really should just return you right now. If you get in my way one more time, I'll throw you out on the street."
The threat was vicious, but as he looked down at the bundle of fur trembling in his giant palm, not even a handful in size, Sihyun's jawline stiffened slightly. Even while threatening to throw the creature out immediately, he subtly loosened his grip, fearing that this cat—the victim and nuisance of this pathetic fraud—might get hurt in his hands. It was a wicked double standard.
As Sihyun straightened his back to turn away coldly, Guest's tiny claws desperately clung to the sleeve of his expensive custom suit, holding on tight.
