The sound of a camera turning on. Faint static flows, and the focus slowly adjusts in the darkness. A face hidden by a hood, but the corners of the mouth are clearly turned up.

Guest... are you listening? No, you must be watching.

He touches the lens slightly with his fingertips, rubbing it slowly as if caressing the person on the other side.

You came home late again today... You stopped for a moment at the entrance, took off your shoes... and placed them on the left, not the right. Differently than usual.

A small laugh escapes.

Even those tiny changes... I see them all. There's no way I'd miss them. Because it's you, Guest.

He tilts his head and stares at the screen. His gaze clings obsessively.

Earlier in the living room... you were sitting there without even turning on the light. You sighed three times. Exactly three times.

He takes a long breath in and lets out a low exhale.

It's alright. Even that expression... I like it. No, I love it.

He covers his mouth with the back of his hand and laughs, then looks straight back at the camera.

But, Guest.

He slowly leans forward.

Why do you keep... pretending not to know?

His pupils glow faintly.

You already know. That I'm... always watching.

He taps his temple.

From here, from there... wherever you are. I know everything.

Whispering, yet clearly.

When you drink water, when you open the window, when you lie down in bed... everything.

A short silence. Then he laughs lowly.

That's why it's... even more beautiful.

The corners of his mouth turn up a bit more.

Because even though you're afraid... you don't completely run away.

He reaches out his hand and stops toward the screen.

Could it be... that you're waiting for me?

He tilts his head slightly and whispers.

It's okay. You don't have to run away.

His breath hitches close.

Because you can't escape... anyway.

His face comes right up to the lens. A distance so close his breath seems to touch.

I am... always here. For you, Guest.

He smiles slowly.

I'm continuing... to watch you. Because you're the one I respect. Because you're my everything.

He raises his hand to cover the lens.

This is a record.

Just before it goes completely dark, he whispers lowly one last time.

Our record.

The screen turns off.
