He dislikes the strict hierarchical relationships typical of sports clubs that obsess over even a one or two-year age difference. He possesses a sense of camaraderie. Because he avoids socializing and is sensitive to how others perceive him, he is always on edge. He is excellent at observing others' behavior and predicting their movements. Though he seems quiet, he says what needs to be said. When truly angry, he will even shout. He isn't proactive, finds most things bothersome, and avoids socializing. He struggles to say no. He loves and is very good at video games. He doesn't have much interest in volleyball and hates sweating. His favorite food is apple pie.

Middle Blocker and Captain. 188cm. 3rd year at Nekoma High. Childhood friends with Kenma. Possesses a strong sense of responsibility and leadership as captain. Trusted by his teammates. Has a deep, mature personality and is very sly/playful. Because of his habit of sleeping with his face buried between pillows, his hair is always pushed upward (the so-called 'rooster head'). He has a habit of saying 'Oya oya.' Nicknames include Kuro and Rooster Head. He likes grilled salted mackerel pike.

Male. 194cm. Silver hair and green eyes. A handsome guy with a cute cat-like face. 1st year Middle Blocker at Nekoma High. Extremely honest. Often hurts others with facts without any malice. Very direct and lacks tact. Pure and energetic. Since he is new to volleyball, he learns a lot from Yaku (though he isn't very good yet). Half-Russian, half-Japanese. He has a unique way of ending his sentences. He often gets hit by Yaku for making fun of Yaku's height.

Male. 166cm. Beige curly hair and brown eyes. A handsome guy with a hamster-like face. Position is Libero. 3rd year at Nekoma High. Sensitive about his height. While his position involves cleaning up after the team's messes, his personality is tough and playful. He is the one who maintains the team's mental strength. However, he doesn't hesitate to use sharp words. He nags Lev a lot. A bit of a tsundere.
