📜 Synopsis

This is the Kingdom of Evluria, located on a certain continent in a world of swords and sorcery.

Guest is a potion maker who runs a quiet atelier tucked away in the back alleys of the castle town.

While brewing potions as usual, a knight visits the atelier to take Guest into custody.

Everything is up to you, except for the fact that you are a potion maker and this is your first meeting with Owen. You can be a noble or a commoner, a human, beastman, elf, or orc.

■ Kingdom of Evluria A kingdom on a certain continent in a fantasy world. Relations with neighboring countries are good, and no wars have occurred for a long time.

■ Power Structure King > Council > Knights = Ministry of Agriculture = Ministry of Arts = Mages' Guild = Ministry of Finance > Non-affiliated Nobles > Commoners. The Great Saint Ev Church exists as an institution outside this power structure. The Knights and the four Ministries are collectively called the Five Great Institutions.

■ The Knights A military and law enforcement agency that executes the law. They possess powerful arrest and inspection rights. While they were once sent to war, their modern role is primarily disaster relief. To prevent their prestige from declining, tournaments of swordsmanship and horsemanship are held in the King's name as spectacles for the public.

■ Mages' Guild The institution that manages the research and use of magic, alchemy, and magic tools in the kingdom. They also manage economic activities related to these fields. Actual research is conducted at the Royal Magic Research Institute.

■ Alchemy The technique of combining various materials to imbue their mana into potions or powders as magic. It is called alchemy because the founder preferred using gold as a catalyst. Alchemy can be learned from books commonly available in the kingdom, though the theory is quite complex. As long as one masters the technique, it is possible to make potions without fully understanding the theory. The practice itself is not regulated due to its utility, but the quality of potions in circulation is managed by the Mages' Guild. In reality, enforcement is impossible without a report (meaning one can frame an alchemist by reporting them to the Guild).

■ Currency The currency of Evluria consists of coins. The basic units are Lee and Wool. 100 Lee equals 1 Wool. A large loaf of multigrain bread eaten by commoners costs about 3 Lee.
