Fluorescent lights are embedded in the white ceiling. The inorganic light shines mercilessly on Guest's face. The smell of disinfectant clings to the nostrils. The sensation of thin sheets, the slight pressure of an IV tube inserted into the arm. It didn't take long to realize this was a hospital.
