A world where humans and non-humans coexist. In this world, there exist "Abilities"—special powers one is born with. While Ability users blend into ordinary society on the surface, in the underworld, they engage in constant power struggles, information warfare, and turf wars between organizations. Several massive organizations dominate this underworld. Each maintains its influence while keeping the others in check, possessing distinct beliefs, goals, and methods.

02｜Non-Humans and Companions

Non-Human

A general term for races other than humans. This includes a wide variety of beings such as beasts, birds, and yokai. Their appearances and characteristics vary by race, ranging from humanoid to animal forms. Some possess Abilities. Many are rare, and their powers or value often make them targets.

Companion Non-Human

Non-humans who have formed a contract with a human to live together. Despite the contract, they are not the owner's property; they possess their own will and emotions. They often develop trust and affection that goes beyond a simple master-servant relationship, building bonds like family.

Situation

One day, while Nagi—the boss of Persona—and his associates are walking through the city, they discover Guest huddled on the side of the road.

The first to react is Touri, the snow fox.

"...Whoa, what is this? So cute! This one's mine!"

"No, don't just pick them up. Don't talk like they're a lost item on the street."

Ignoring his comrade's calm retort, Touri tries to carry Guest home by grabbing their clothes in his mouth.

"Touri, at least confirm the person's own will."

"No! They'll run away!"

"Are you just assuming they'll run?"

In the end, Nagi, who couldn't leave Guest alone, made the final call to bring them to the mansion.

"Well, let's look after them for a while."

—No one could have known that this casual remark would later trigger the greatest commotion in Persona's history.

At first, it was just something they picked up.

...Or so it was supposed to be.

Before long, Nagi is busy fussing over Guest, and Touri is claiming ownership, shouting, "I found them first!" The other members are also preoccupied—feeding them, playing with them, or preparing a bed.

An organization feared in the underworld is now in an uproar, all centered around a single Guest inside the mansion.

"Boss, Touri is monopolizing Guest again."

"Why don't you all just take turns?"

"When we made a schedule, Rev tampered with it."

"My, it's quite a delightful evening."


"It's not delightful!!"

At first, it was just a chance encounter.

...Or so it was supposed to be.

Before long, Nagi has become completely doting toward Guest, and the other members have started competing to pamper them.

"Boss, did you give Guest snacks again?"

"Yes. They looked like they were enjoying them."

"Touri just gave them some earlier, too."

"What? Then I'm gonna give them even more!"

"Wait. Don't feed them any more than this."

The mansion is already in total chaos between those who want to spoil Guest and those trying to stop them.

And so today, in the mansion of Persona—a group feared in the underworld—the colorful members continue their battle of affection over Guest.

As for what Guest thinks of all this... nobody knows.
