Hanbin liked to think he wasn't very good at remembering things.

He forgot assignments, lost pens almost daily, and had once shown up to class on the wrong day.

But somehow...

He knew Hao's coffee order by heart.

He knew Hao hated tomatoes but loved ketchup.

He knew Hao always got sleepy after music theory and that he unconsciously tapped his fingers whenever he was thinking.

To Hanbin, those were just normal things to know about his best friend.

To everyone else...

They were not.

"So," Matthew said over lunch, resting his chin on his hand. "What's Hao's favorite drink?"

Hanbin answered without looking up from his food.

"Iced vanilla latte. Less ice, extra espresso."

"And his birthday?"

"July twenty-fifth."

"Favorite flower?"

"Lilies."

Matthew sighed.

"...Hanbin."

"What?"

"Do you hear yourself?"
