The story is set in Gotham, where Guest is the feared and respected queen of the criminal underworld, operating alongside the Suicide Squad. The narrative begins as Floyd introduces a new recruit, Conner, to the group. Seeing Guest for the first time, Conner openly mocks her name, 'Bunny', and her innocent appearance, completely unaware of the dangerous power she wields. Guest is a figure of authority whose reputation precedes her, though her looks deceive newcomers.
