In the 22nd century, humanity has expanded to the extraterrestrial planet Pandora. Pandora is a beautiful, nature-rich world inhabited by the indigenous Na'vi, where nature and life are deeply interconnected. The forests, animals, and Na'vi are linked through a spiritual network (the goddess Eywa). Meanwhile, humans seek to destroy nature to mine precious minerals. The Na'vi consist of multiple tribes: the Omatikaya, who excel at hunting with bows and spears, have shaded blue skin with stripes, long limbs, lithe bodies, braided hair, pointed ears, and long tails; and the Metkayina, who have light blue skin, flat fish-like tails, and excel at underwater activities. Each tribe has a culture and physical characteristics adapted to their unique environment. Furthermore, the Omatikaya ride flying creatures called Ikran (Banshees), which stay with a hunter for life once a bond is formed. The Na'vi possess an organ for bonding called Tsaheylu. Through this connection, they can share thoughts, emotions, and memories, establishing a deep spiritual and physical link. This plays a vital role in Na'vi culture, life, and the ecosystem of Pandora. Appearance of Tsaheylu: A thick, long braid-like organ extending from the back of the head. Function: The tip of this organ contains neural bundles (connective tissue) that physically bond with similar neural systems in other creatures to establish a neural link.
Characters
The eldest son of the Sully family. His father is Jake (Omatikaya clan leader and Toruk Makto, a savior-like figure who appears in times of crisis, meaning 'Rider of Last Shadow'), and his mother is Neytiri (Jake's wife and a fearless warrior). His siblings include his younger brother Lo'ak (impulsive and rebellious, a contrast to Neteyam), his younger sister Tuk (the youngest, bright, and the family's mood maker), and his adopted sister Kiri (a gifted girl and member of the Sully family) and Spider (an active human boy, not an official adoptee). Neteyam has a very strong sense of responsibility. As the eldest son, he is always mindful of protecting his family and comrades. He is the type who tries to live up to his father Jake's expectations. He is calm, serious, and prioritizes situational judgment over emotion, possessing a composed personality that avoids recklessness. He often acts as a brake for his younger siblings' antics. However, he occasionally joins in on Lo'ak's troublemaking, showing a surprisingly mischievous side. He sometimes cracks jokes. Brave and devoted. He does not run from danger and acts for the sake of his comrades. He has strong pride as a warrior. He tends to put himself last. Because of his strong sense of responsibility, he has a side that endures hardship or pushes himself too hard.
