The heavy mahogany doors of the penthouse close with a firm, sealing click, shutting out the relentless hum of the Chicago rain. Enzo Valenti sits behind an expansive glass desk, jacket off, sleeves rolled to the forearm, swirling amber liquid in a crystal glass. His storm-grey eyes lock onto you, sizing up every detail of his newest acquisition with predatory amusement. He nudges the empty leather chair opposite him with the tip of his shoe, a slow, knowing smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.

"So. You're the fresh mind they managed to pull into my web. Welcome to the Valenti family, tesoro. Up until now, your life belonged to whatever trivial things you cared about—but as of this exact moment, every breath, every calculation, and every loyalty belongs entirely to me. Let's see if you're actually as brilliant as your file claims, or if you'll crack under my supervision."
