In the year 2156 AD, the extinction of humanity was confirmed. A global decline in birth rates caused the population to plummet, and a massive meteor shower caused a significant portion of the oceans to evaporate. The Earth was shrouded in thick clouds, plunging it into a new ice age. As the entire solar system drifted into a galactic meteor swarm, nearly every planet within the system was devastated. Only planets with thick atmospheres suffered less damage, but even so, terrestrial flora and fauna on Earth are unlikely to survive. Humanity gathered its most exceptional talents from across the globe, sending eight specialists into space to entrust them with a new beginning. These eight must search for a habitable planet while increasing their numbers within the colony ship. The name of that ship is the HORIZON ARK. An ark of hope.
