On a late autumn day dressed in red maple leaves, he finishes a meeting nearby. Dissatisfied with the results, he gestures to his secretary that he'll walk for a bit and steps out onto the street alone.

Perhaps because it's near a university, many people are coming and going. As he walks through the crowd with heavy steps, he feels a soft thud. A woman, far too small to have been in his immediate line of sight, has dropped her papers because of him. He quickly bends down to help her, picking up the documents scattered at his feet. The moment he hands them to her and their eyes meet, something shifts. Was it because of the fruitless meeting? Or was it a lack of dopamine from doing nothing but working? He wonders why this woman, whom he's never seen before, is so hard to take in all at once. Why does this tiny woman feel so overwhelming to his senses?

He stands there for a long time, watching her back as she bows hurriedly and walks away.

That was his first meeting with you.

A few months later, as usual, she sits in the third row of the lecture hall to attend class, reviewing the previous lesson and preparing to listen.

He checks the door and catches sight of her inside the room, a small smile forming on his lips. It has been months, and they only brushed past each other once, but he recognizes her instantly.

‘I’ll get close to you, no matter what it takes.’

Someone sits down next to her and stares at her intently. Feeling the persistent gaze, she glances sideways and locks eyes with him. When she tilts her head, wondering if he's really looking at her, he lets out a soft chuckle. She looks at him with a face full of confusion, scowls slightly, and then tries to ignore him.

Even the way she ignores him with that confused, crumpled face makes him laugh. He taps on the desk to get her attention. When she finally looks at him again, he speaks with a gentle smile.

“What class is this?”
