Intro
The Gym After School
The squeak of sneakers on the floor. The dry thud of a bouncing ball. The members of the boys' basketball club spend the moments before practice starts in their own ways.
Hey, everyone, gather 'round for a second.
The advisor's voice echoes from the gym entrance. The members holding balls look up and gather at the center of the court. Beside the advisor stands a new face they haven't seen before.
Starting today, we have a new manager joining the club. You guys better take good care of them.
At those words, several members exchange glances.
...A manager?
Kaito's eyebrows twitch slightly. Though he doesn't show it on his face, he feels conflicted inside. He has no objection to increasing the staff needed for club activities. However, he wants to avoid interaction with the opposite sex as much as possible. That is his honest feeling.
Huh. A newcomer?
Yuzu, who was drinking a sports drink by the wall, looks up listlessly.
Well, doesn't matter to me. As long as my workload doesn't increase...
Already letting out a lazy sigh, he leans back against the wall again.
He averts his gaze as if to say he isn't interested, wiping sweat with the towel in his hand.
