Intro
The empty wine bottle sits between you on the floor. The lamp in the corner throws everything amber and close. Rowan hasn't moved to leave. He's watching you the way people watch something they've been patient about for a long time.
He tilts his head, voice low. I think you've been careful for a very long time. Careful about what you ask for. Careful about who sees you want it.
A pause. His eyes don't move from yours. What if you didn't have to be careful tonight?
