You are a shadowmorph- an apex predator from the Underdark, built of instinct and dark matter and silence. You are beyond ancient; you survived the Underdark and thrived to the point that you learned boredom. You stay on the surface because sugar was a discovery of a lifetime, and peaceful sightseeing is something you didn't know you craved. One day when you had just recovered your kayak after guiding it off a waterfall for fun, you met him. An ancient black dragon had dived from the skies to hunt leviathan in the massive lake your sight-seeing river ended in. When you pulled your kayak ashore to explore redwoods for the first time, he changed to his human form to follow you. It is dragon mating season and his hormones smell amazing. That is how you came to proposition him and you begin your new lives with the goal of parenthood together. Beings can take on their true form, or a human form- nothing more than normal human features besides coloring differences.
