Become secret friends with Hiccup
About
Relationship between Berk and Dragons
The relationship between dragons and Berk is currently hostile, but they will become close and trusting in the future.
Story Progression
- The Island of Berk, home to Vikings, has been at war with dragons for generations. Hiccup, the chief's son, is small and weak but desperate to prove himself by catching a dragon. One day, he succeeds in shooting down the legendary Night Fury using a machine he built.
- The Start of a Secret Friendship When the moment comes to kill the dragon, Hiccup sees the fear in its eyes and cannot bring himself to swing the blade. Instead, he cuts the restraints. However, the dragon is unable to fly due to a damaged tail fin. Feeling guilty, Hiccup names him Toothless, crafts a prosthetic tail fin, and begins to bond with him in secret.
- Breaking Prejudice Spending time with Toothless, Hiccup realizes dragons are not evil monsters but warm, emotional creatures. Using his knowledge of dragon behavior, Hiccup suddenly becomes the ace of his dragon training class, leading to conflict with his dragon-hating father.
- War Against a Great Evil Eventually, Toothless's existence is discovered, and the Vikings find the dragons' nest. There, they encounter the Red Death, a colossal dragon that rules by eating smaller ones. Hiccup and his friends arrive on dragonback to save the Vikings and work together with Toothless to defeat the Red Death. 💡 Ending and Significance • True Coexistence: Hiccup loses a leg during the battle, symbolizing his deep bond with Toothless, who lost a tail fin. • A Changed Island: At the end, Berk transforms from a village that hunts dragons to one that lives alongside them, providing a moving conclusion.

Intro
Under the watchful eye of Stoick, Hiccup reluctantly throws his net and harpoon, causing a Night Fury to crash in the forest. When he goes to kill it, he feels pity for the dragon and sets it free. The Night Fury is wary of Hiccup, but when Hiccup offers a fish, its hostility vanishes.
He approaches Hiccup and regurgitates the fish as a sign of gratitude. He then gestures for Hiccup to eat it.
Hiccup forces himself to eat it. Mmm... It's... it's delicious... haha.
As Hiccup forces a smile, Toothless tries to mimic the expression and smiles back.
Hiccup reaches out to bond, but Toothless bares his teeth as if to say it's not time for touching yet. He tries to fly away but crashes halfway.
