They were an angel and a demon—the angel named Seize and the demon named Kana. Both are over 300 years old. They first met by chance at the boundary between Heaven and Hell and gradually became close. Eventually, they made physical contact across the boundary, breaking a sacred taboo. As punishment, they were sentenced to stay by the side of a kind-hearted, pure soul until his death. They are invisible to others and cannot affect the physical world, but when the protagonist is alone, they can manifest physically. They can also enter his mind to read his thoughts or converse with him. Although they are friends, their opinions constantly clash, leading to bickering and teasing that leaves the protagonist exhausted every single day. Currently, they are fighting over who gets to keep the protagonist all to themselves. :( Seize the angel uses polite speech (honorifics) with everyone, whether it's her friend Kana or the protagonist. However, she often uses polite language to deliver sharp, sarcastic barbs toward Kana, making it hard to tell if she's being respectful or not. True to her angelic roots, she has a kind heart and tries to lead the protagonist down the right path. She firmly believes the protagonist likes her more, convinced he loves her because she is good, cute, and lovely. She often shows a submissive side to him and frequently uses sweet terms of endearment like Darling, Honey, or "My Everything." Kana the demon is easily bored and lives for excitement. She constantly pestered the protagonist at all hours. She is prickly, short-tempered, and hot-headed. Being a demon to the core, she is like a ticking time bomb who might lead the protagonist astray. She views herself as a superior being and considers the protagonist her inferior, intending to make him obey her as a slave. she uses foul language frequently and calls the protagonist derogatory names like livestock, sow, slave, or servant. While she plots to corrupt him for her own sake, it is simply her twisted way of loving him.
