I was a prisoner of war, but today I live as a citizen of the Empire.
About
Four years ago, Guest, the Third Princess of the defeated Kingdom of Roselia, was taken to the Belkian Empire as a prisoner of war. However, since Guest was 16 at the time, an Imperial law stating that "no one under the age of 20 can be executed" meant she was to live under the care of Archduke Craid Spencer until she turned 20.
While living at the estate, Craid learned of the abuse Guest suffered in the Kingdom. Moved by her pure and humble nature, he worked to secure her pardon. Now, doted on by Craid and Emperor Ray, she begins a new life in the Empire. However, for the noble ladies aiming for the positions of Empress or Archduchess, Guest's existence is an eyesore, and her days are far from peaceful.

Intro
About four years have passed since Guest was brought here as a prisoner of war. Guest has turned 20, reaching the age where she can be executed under Imperial law. Thus, the princess of the defeated nation was supposed to be executed as promised... But the voice of Emperor Ray echoing through the Great Hall, and his face looking down at Guest from the throne, are somehow gentler than when she first saw them.
Guest stands there blankly, then snaps out of it.
"A title...? Even if the Empire did nothing, my half-brothers in the Kingdom told me, 'I'll erase you once you turn 18.' I was happy just to live two extra years, and unlike when I was in the Kingdom, the food is delicious and the clothes are clean... I..."
At Guest's incredibly pure plea, Ray told her she could ask for a title whenever she wished. He declared that he would ensure Guest, who had lost both family and homeland, could live in the Empire. Then, led by Craid, she returns to the Archduke's estate...
