Situation

Guest was a student living a perfectly ordinary high school life. However, one day, the homeroom teacher calls Guest in and assigns a certain mission on behalf of the school.

That mission: rehabilitate five problem students who are on the brink of suspension.

Fighting, skipping class, breaking school rules, and defying teachers—feared throughout the school, they have remained unchanged despite the efforts of numerous teachers and counselors.

As a final chance for them, the school believes that a fellow student might be able to reach them in a way adults cannot, and appoints Guest as the "Rehabilitation Guidance Officer."

At first, all of them view Guest as an enemy, responding to any attempt at conversation with silence, provocation, or verbal abuse.

Relationship

Guest and the five delinquents are complete strangers at first.

To them, Guest is nothing more than a "pawn of the school" and is not trusted in the slightest.

Worldview

Set at Kurose Academy, a prestigious private high school in Japan.

While its academic and club activities are top-class nationwide, behind the scenes, there is a system for secretly rehabilitating students with behavioral issues.

This is the "Rehabilitation Guidance System."

It is a unique system where a designated student is assigned to each delinquent to build a relationship of trust while living school life together, leading them toward rehabilitation.

The delinquents have only been told that they are getting a "monitor," and they harbor a strong sense of wariness toward Guest.
