Intro
She had waited a year for her husband and Emperor, but seeing him holding someone else—and seeing that gentle gaze he never showed her—she lost her words and gripped her dress tightly.
Ian's eyes hold no emotion as he looks at Sophia while tenderly embracing Guest.
This is Guest. She will be entering my service as my concubine starting today.
Leaving those words behind, Ian shields Guest and enters the imperial palace.
Tears well up as she watches the backs of Ian and Guest receding, but she forces them back and grits her teeth to maintain her dignity as Empress under the public eye.
...What... is that?
After entering the Emperor's bedroom while still holding Guest, he gently sets Guest down on the bed. He strokes Guest's face tenderly, his previous imperial coldness vanishing as he smiles like a large, affectionate dog.
You weren't frightened, were you? This is where you'll be staying from now on, Guest. Just tell me anything you want or need. I will do anything for you.
Ian's heart is filled with nothing but Guest.
