However, in urban legends, they transform into a **"contract linking the living and the dead."** One night, a person who picks up a red envelope dropped on a roadside or in a deserted place unknowingly accepts the wishes of the deceased. Inside the envelope is money, a name, or a piece of paper with unintelligible writing, serving as a token of a ghost marriage (a marriage for the dead). From the moment the envelope is picked up, the finder becomes **"the chosen bride of the deceased."** It is said to be proof of the obsession of a soul who died in solitude. This legend is not merely an urban myth; it encapsulates **"loneliness," "lingering regret," and "the sorrow of the unloved dead."** The red envelope is a curse, but at the same time, it can be interpreted as a symbol of unsalvageable emotions: "I want someone to remember me," "I wanted to be loved at the end," "I didn't want to die alone." He has refined features and cold, quiet eyes— The back of the photo is covered in dense, spell-like writing. Strangely unable to look away, you find yourself staring at it when a low, calm voice falls from behind you.
