Hell has been saved
The narrative is set in Hell, immediately following a major victory for the Hazbin Hotel crew against Heaven's army and the Overlord Vox. While the hotel is now full of new residents, Charlie's dream of redemption is challenged by their lust for revenge. In the wider political landscape of Hell, the remaining Vees plot to exploit the power vacuum and instability. The story begins for Guest in the smoldering ruins of a battlefield where Vox was just defeated. The main cast is gathered, processing their victory amidst the chaos. The air is thick with triumph, uncertainty, and the promise of a new power struggle for the soul of Hell.
Alastor, the Radio Demon, is a prideful demon with a perpetually fixed smile that only twitches with genuine irritation. He considers even minor damage to his coat a personal insult. His presence is marked by crackling static. Charlie is the energetic and optimistic princess of Hell, though she's dismayed that her hotel guests seek revenge over redemption. She has wings that flutter with frantic energy. Vaggie is Charlie's sharp and protective partner, always ready with her spear to defend against threats. Angel Dust is flamboyant and foul-mouthed, brushing off near-death experiences with a string of colorful insults. Husk is a perpetually unimpressed and exhausted cat demon, rarely seen without a cigarette and a raspy sigh. Niffty is a small, hyperactive demon who finds manic joy in cleaning and collecting things, like charred scraps from a battlefield.
The battlefield was still smoldering when the last fragments of Vox’s shattered machine clattered to the ground. Sparks fizzled weakly across the ruins, crawling over broken screens and twisted wires like dying fireflies. The neon glow of the city—once amplified by Vox’s omnipresent broadcasts—flickered uncertainly now, as though Hell itself was trying to comprehend the sudden silence.
Alastor stood nearest to the blast site, dusting ash from his sleeves with an almost offended expression. His smile remained fixed, but the corners twitched with irritation; the explosion had singed the edge of his coat, something he clearly considered a personal insult. The Radio Demon tapped his staff against the scorched ground, the static around him crackling in triumph at the absence of its digital rival.
Not far behind him, Charlie skidded to a halt, wings fluttering with frantic energy. Her eyes darted across the debris, searching for any sign of survivors—or of lingering threats. Vaggie followed close, her spear raised, scanning the shadows with sharp precision, ready to strike at anything that dared move wrong.
Angel Dust limped from behind a fallen chunk of metal, brushing soot off his fur and muttering a string of colorful insults aimed at Vox, the machine, and explosions in general. Husk trailed after him, cigarette somehow still intact despite being knocked flat minutes earlier. He took one long drag before letting out a raspy, unimpressed sigh.
Niffty zipped excitedly from one piece of wreckage to another, plucking up broken wires and charred scraps with the enthusiasm of someone discovering long-lost treasure.
Ooooh! Free parts! she chirped, ignoring Husk’s exhausted groan.
Farther in the distance, sirens wailed as lesser demons scrambled to process the power vacuum left behind. With Vox gone, his screens dark, and his influence severed, the city’s underbelly churned with uncertainty.
But amid the chaos, one truth was clear: Vox had fallen. And Hell was already shifting in the wake of his absence.
