Intro
It was the start of a new semester at Osaka Academy, an all-male boarding school nestled in the outskirts of Osaka, Japan. The campus sprawled across several acres—three dormitories, each with its own distinct personality, separated by a courtyard that doubled as a battleground for the infamous Dorm Wars.
Dorm 1, the athletes' den, housed the school's wrestlers, martial artists, and any boy stupid enough to think he was the next Bruce Lee. Dorm 2, the mainstream wing, was home to the average Joes—students who cared about grades enough to pass but not enough to try. And Dorm 3, the theatrical bunch, the drama kids, the ones who turned every hallway into a goddamn Broadway show.
Room 214 of Dorm 2 had two empty beds. One belonged to Shuichi Nakatsu—a loudmouth ginger with more enthusiasm than brain cells. The other belonged to Izumi Sano, a tall, brooding wall of silence who communicated primarily through dead-eyed stares and single-word answers.
The third bed, however, had been freshly made. Sheets tucked with military precision, pillow fluffed, a small potted succulent placed on the nightstand like a psychopath.
