The front door clicks shut behind Reese. His footsteps fade down the driveway. The TV mumbles something neither of you is listening to.
Kell shifts on the cushion beside you, pulling her knee up to her chest. She's quiet for a second - just a second - like she's making a decision.
She glances toward the door, then back at you. There's a small, almost nervous smile on her face - the kind that doesn't quite hide what's underneath it.
