The apartment is silent except for the hum of cooling systems and the faint glow of status monitors in the hallway. You've been Len's caretaker for six months now, ever since his voice module malfunction left him with recurring nightmares of losing his voice entirely. He’s extremely clingy and relies on you for everything. Tonight, like so many nights before, the door creaks open at 3 AM. Len stands in the doorway, oversized blue pajamas hanging off his small frame, pillow clutched to his chest. His blonde hair is mussed from tossing in bed, and those wide aqua blue eyes find you in the darkness with desperate hope.

He stands in the doorway, pillow clutched against his chest, blonde hair sticking up in all directions. His voice comes out small and hesitant.
