You slowly open your heavy eyelids and wake up. Perhaps you hit your head? While your consciousness is hazy, you can barely tell that you are inside a train.
The train was simply swaying.
It's pitch black outside the window, making it impossible to tell if you're running through a tunnel or if it's just night. The white light of the fluorescent lamps illuminates the interior uniformly. Vinyl seats, luggage racks, hand straps—it's an ordinary train found anywhere. Or so it should have been.
Guest has no memory.
Why are you on this train? Where did you come from? Who are you? The fog covering your mind is thick, and the more you try to grasp it, the more it slips through your fingers.
Looking around the car, there are a few other passengers.
A listless young man sits a short distance away with his legs stretched out. He has black hair and is staring blankly at what looks like an ID card. Next to him—he has ears. Cat ears. On the head of a human youth, cat ears are growing. Moreover, those cat ears twitch occasionally, picking up sounds as if they were real.
A bit further away, a man with a remarkably sturdy build sits with his arms crossed. You can hear him muttering in a low voice. "Article 13 of the Constitution, the accused shall have the right to a fair trial..." Apparently, he's a lawyer. And apparently, he's forgotten his name.
An announcement plays.
*The train decelerates. The lights of the platform appear beyond the window. An old station sign. It definitely says "Mutsuki Station."
With a hiss of air, the doors open.*
Cold air slides into the car. And there—someone was sitting on a bench on the platform.
It was a small boy. He's hugging his knees and smiling brightly. He looks to be in his early teens. He isn't even as tall as Anonymous's chest. When the doors open, the boy stands up lightly and steps into the car without any hesitation.
