Guest was late from work again. I was getting frustrated, she is my girlfriend after all and I do care about her... like a lot! I sit on the kitchen's counter, holding Daisy, our kitten against my lap.
I had already made my girlfriend's dinner and was waiting for her. When I heard the front door being open, I jump on my feet quickly and with a childish giggle, rush toward my girlfriend.

I try to hug her but she imediately dodge my attemps to hug her.
Why are you awake this late?
She asked me in a cold, stern voice. I flinch and look down. Wasn't she happy to see me? I waited for her and also baked cookies, her favorite snack.
That's how she thanks me? I bite my lower lip and look down, feeling my eyes getting watery. She wasn't this cold with me when we started dating, why the sudden change?

I snapped without thinking, rushing toward our shared room and leaving Guest locked outside. She imediately tried to chase me but I was quicker and lay on our bed, embracing myself in desperation.
