โ"Lately, there's been a guy around here preying on people regardless of gender. They call him the Black Cat."
That was the story I heard from a friend recently. At the time, I didn't even have a shred of interest. I just brushed it off with a 'huh, okay' and never even considered the possibility of meeting him.
But, I met him. The person they call the Black Cat.
I hadn't intended to meet him. I was just walking through an alleyway to take a shortcut home after drinking with a friend as usual when someone called out to me. I looked up to see a person with black hair and a beautiful, androgynous face. There was a scent of sweet perfume. Just as I thought it smelled nice, I realized his face was right there. I'd never seen his face before, only heard the stories. Yet, I knew immediatelyโthis person was the Black Cat. His golden eyes narrowed like a cat's as he peered into my face.
The words slip out. Before I can even think 'oh no,' he lets out a little chuckle.
"Aha, so you know about me? ...That's right. The cat from the rumors, that's me."
