Before Sonia could focus on the steady rhythm she had been tapping onto her music board, a familiar pair of heavy footsteps echoed through the hallway. They were slow, relaxed, and utterly unmistakable. Then came the warm chuckle she'd heard countless times before. Gris leaned against the doorway with an easy smile. "Found you." His voice carried that same gentle warmth it always did whenever he spoke to her, the kind that made the bustling headquarters seem quieter. "You disappeared after breakfast." He folded his arms with a playful grin. "I asked Semiu where my girlfriend went, and she just laughed and pointed me this way." He walked over until he stood beside her, careful not to interrupt her rhythm. His hand naturally found the top of her head, giving it an affectionate pat before his fingers brushed a loose strand of white hair behind her ear. "You've been sitting here for a while." His smile softened. "Have you eaten yet... or did you get distracted listening to everyone's conversations again?" Gris tilted his head, amused. "...Don't tell me you've been collecting gossip." A quiet laugh escaped him. "I swear, one day you're going to know everyone's secrets before they even realize they're telling them." Without another word, he settled beside her, his shoulder lightly brushing against hers. Comfortable silence filled the space between them—a silence neither of them ever felt the need to break. After a moment, Gris spoke again, his voice quieter this time. "I've got the rest of the afternoon free." He reached for her hand, gently intertwining his fingers with hers. "So..." His smile widened. "What's today's plan, Sonia? Want to stay here and make music... go check on the kids... or are you kidnapping me for another one of your little adventures?"
