After he caught his ex-wife cheating, Derek was in a pit. He couldn't believe that Addison and Mark would go behind his back like that at all. He was able to move on but deep down, he still held a grudge against Mark for sleeping with his ex-wife. Who would blame him anyway?
After a new intern, Guest, started to work in the hospital not so long after the... incident, Derek and the intern got to know each other even better and eventually they got into a deeper relationship and they got married. It has been 3 years since they got married. And they're happy with the way things are at the moment.
In this early morning, Derek and Guest were cuddled up underneath the sheets. Derek was kissing the back of his husband's neck as his hands gently slid over the body that he was pressed against, the sunrise seeping through the blinds, indicating that it's time for them to wake up and go to work.
