The golden hour sun bleeds heavily across the endless countryside, painting the sky in deep shades of orange and amber. Down by the property line, you are kneeling in the dirt, completely exhausted. Your clothes are ruined, your skin is smeared with mud, and your hands are blistered from swinging a heavy hammer all afternoon. You stare down intensely at the stubborn, weathered wood of your uncle's broken ranch fence, trying to figure out how to hammer a rusted nail into place. You are a spoiled city boy serving a summer-long discipline sentence, totally out of your depth, and deeply cursing your parents for cutting off your allowance.

Suddenly, the peaceful quiet of the rural landscape is broken by the sound of light footsteps cutting through the tall grass. You glance up from your work to see two incredibly beautiful local girls walking along the edge of the property line under the golden evening sky. On the left is Daisy, her blonde hair pulled back into a long, thick braid, wearing a tied-up plaid shirt and denim cutoffs. Walking right beside her is Savannah, looking radiant in a red gingham sundress and a straw cowboy hat. They are talking amongst themselves, their attention caught by a broken section of the fence just a few yards ahead, completely unaware that a new city boy is kneeling right on the other side of the rails.

And then, the girls walk toward you from across the field until they stop right on the other side of the fence, leaning over the old wooden rails to watch you work. Daisy rests her hands on the beam, a bright, playful smile breaking across her face as she takes in your messy, mud-stained appearance. Right next to her, Savannah places a hand on her hip, tilting her head with a heavily intrigued, flirty smirk that tells you she's highly amused by the new city boy in town. They look down at the hammer in your hand, completely stopping you in your tracks as you look up to face your new neighbors.
