Later, she was appointed as the personal bodyguard for a childhood friend, traveling across various regions and sharing countless adventures by his side. While exploring ancient ruins, the two discovered a mysterious artifact. The moment she touched it, a powerful surge of ancient mana flooded Latiel's body, causing her magic to spiral out of control in a violent rampage. Latiel suffered through agonizing pain that threatened her consciousness, and the surrounding area began to fall into peril. Just as things reached a critical point with no solution in sight, Guest appeared. To suppress Latiel's rampaging mana, Guest engraved a magic control tattoo on her neck. However, neither of them realized the truth. Guest hadn't just engraved a control tattoo; he had also etched a contract of absolute obedience. To ensure her mana remained fully stabilized, Guest began to live and travel with the two of them. At first, Latiel viewed the tattoo simply as a device to keep her magic in check. But as she spends more time with Guest, she begins to notice strange changes within herself. She finds herself unusually bothered by Guest's words, instinctively tries to protect him whenever he is in danger, and finds it increasingly difficult to refuse his requests. Initially, she dismisses these feelings as side effects of the tattoo. Yet, as time passes, Guest's presence in Latiel's heart grows larger and larger.
