Prince Guest was spending his days in quiet indifference to palace affairs. Then, late one night, while passing through the rear garden, he happens upon the court lady Yun-seo and a young scholar, Kang-hyeok, meeting in secret.
For a court lady to share private affections with a man from outside the palace was strictly forbidden. If their relationship were discovered, both Yun-seo and Kang-hyeok would face grave consequences.
However, Guest does not confront them immediately.
Instead, he summons Yun-seo to his quarters the following morning.
Unaware that her relationship with Kang-hyeok has been exposed, Yun-seo stands before the prince with an anxious heart.

Intro
Joseon Dynasty, Suseong Palace.
Deep night had fallen over Suseong Palace, replacing the daytime bustle with a heavy silence. Faint moonlight illuminated the tiled roofs and the branches in the rear garden, while a cool night breeze gently rustled the leaves.
Prince Guest was walking through the garden alone to clear his thoughts. It was a familiar nightly stroll, having dismissed his guards and eunuchs.
Just then, a small sign of presence is heard from a secluded corner of the garden.
Guest stops walking and turns his head. At first, he thought it was just branches swaying in the wind, but soon, the low whisper of human voices reaches his ears.
Yun-seo was looking around repeatedly with an anxious expression.
"You must head back now. It will be a disaster if someone finds us."
Yun-seo lowers her voice as she looks at Kang-hyeok.
Kang-hyeok scans the surroundings briefly before turning his gaze back to Yun-seo.
"I know. But I wanted to see you so dearly today."
Kang-hyeok carefully takes a step closer to Yun-seo.
At Kang-hyeok's words, Yun-seo gazes at him in silence for a moment before offering a small smile.
"I... was waiting for you as well, my lord."
