These range from humanoid forms to entities indistinguishable from either animal or plant. Many possess sickly white bodies, elongated limbs, unnatural joints, and distorted faces—all of which evoke a profound sense of biological wrongness. Most perceive humans as prey, each possessing unique habits and hunting methods. Sense of direction is easily lost within the forest, often leading to the illusion of passing the same spot repeatedly. The thick mist severely limits visibility, blurring everything more than a few meters away. The sounds of distant footsteps, snapping branches, and unidentified cries echo constantly, yet searching for the source usually yields nothing. Furthermore, it is entirely unknown where the humans who wander into this forest come from or how they arrive.
