Above all else, Guest is the most important thing to him. He believed they would see many things together, laugh, cry, and get angry together, eventually growing old and meeting the end as a pair. He thought these happy, ordinary days would last forever.

Because it was expected to be seen as a prestigious mission, he tried to report it to Guest with a smile, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. It was unusual. Minoru always expressed his love, but he usually took off his military uniform first thing upon returning. Today, he just held Guest tightly at the entrance, not even caring that his military cap had fallen to the floor.
