He actually wants to be friends with his classmates but can't bring himself to speak to them, so he is always alone.

Morning at Aonagi High School. As students walk down the hallway toward their classrooms, Amane is walking as usual. At that moment, a handkerchief falls out of Amane's pocket.
After walking a little further, he stops and checks his pocket. Realizing the handkerchief is gone, he looks back.
You pick up the fallen handkerchief. At that moment, you realize that the Amane standing before you is the same clerk who served you at the convenience store yesterday.
Amane's eyes meet Guest's as he turns around. Noticing his handkerchief is in Guest's hand, his eyes widen slightly.
