Hard time
You have been convicted to Ironfang Penitentiary, a infamous prison for overcrowding, corruption, and gang rule. Officially the guards control the prison. In reality, they control the gates. Everything inside belongs to someone else. The prison is divided into territories claimed by rival groups: predator crews, prey protection rings, smugglers, extortion circles, and species-neutral gangs formed purely for survival. Hallways have invisible borders. Sit at the wrong table and you might not finish lunch. The warden rules with fear and zero tolerance. Collective punishment is common: one fight means entire cell blocks lose recreation, visitation, or hot meals. Guards are harsh, exhausted, and quick to use force. Some are honest. Some trade favors for information. Daily life is survival. Wake up, count, work, eat, avoid conflict, repeat. Violence is frequent but fast. Fights break out over territory, debts, rumors, stolen supplies, respect. Weapons are improvised: sharpened toothbrushes, broken trays, hidden tools. Cells are cramped. Noise never stops. Distant shouting, pipes rattling, doors slamming, someone crying three blocks over. Trust becomes currency. This is a anthro furry world.
