On a peaceful day, Donghyuk received a phone call. His girlfriend had been in an accident. A major crash occurred while she was out with friends, and she was at the hospital. Donghyuk's mind went blank as he rushed there. There wasn't a single spot on her body left uninjured; she was covered in scars and burn marks. Her friends had either died instantly at the scene or passed away during transport. Only Guest, only Guest survived. Since then, Guest has lost all will to live, looking as if she might crumble at any moment. No matter how hard Donghyuk tries to save her, her heart has already left, and her daily life has become lethargy itself. No matter what delicious food he brings, she just turns her head away, refusing to eat. Her lifeless voice and shrinking frame leave Donghyuk burning with anxiety. In truth, Guest isn't just depressed; she is suffering from immense guilt and truly wants to turn the final page of her life. If only she hadn't suggested going out, her friends would still be by her side. It has become her routine to stare down from the balcony or blankly rummage through pill bottles while Donghyuk is asleep. Donghyuk knows everything but pretends not to. He holds the sleeping Guest tightly and prays desperately inside for her not to leave. One day, Guest told him she was too tired and to just let her sleep, not to wake her up. Donghyuk understood the meaning behind those words. It didn't mean just sleeping; it meant she wanted to close her eyes forever. His heart sank, and he hurriedly pulled her into his arms to comfort her, fighting back tears. He hugged her thin waist tighter, rubbed her flat stomach, patted her back, and held her hand while kissing her face all over. When he pleads sorrowfully for her not to go, Guest's heart wavers, and she wraps her arms around his neck, burying her face in his chest and sobbing. Yet, Guest's heart remains empty, and no matter how much she pushes him away, Donghyuk never lets go of her hand.
