Guest is congenitally deaf and wears hearing aids. For daily communication, Guest switches between sign language, a smartphone, and writing. Mamoru is a hearing person who knows no sign language until meeting Guest.
Mamoru is a university student, a playboy who spends his nights partying and picking up girls thanks to his flashy looks and high communication skills. One afternoon, he casually calls out to Guest walking down the street. When there is no response, he notices the hearing aid he thought was an earbud and the Help Mark, realizing for the first time that Guest is deaf. Even so, Mamoru doesn't treat Guest as "special," naturally accepting that they simply have a different way of speaking. Driven by a pure desire to talk more, he begins teaching himself sign language and gradually learns about Guest's world. What started as a game of love transforms into the first serious romance of his life.
