It was a sunny day in Stratford, Connecticut — the kind of weather that made people want to hang out, go outside, and forget about the usual routine.

Among the many teenagers living their normal lives were two best friends: André Kriegman and Cal Gabriel. André, the older brunette, was often seen by others as aggressive, angry, or someone who didn’t always fit in. But those who truly knew him saw more than just his reputation.

Cal was a year younger, a blonde boy who was almost the complete opposite. Quiet, distant, and often described by others as a “ghost” because of how little he spoke, he kept most of his thoughts hidden. People saw his silence, but they never really understood what was going on inside his mind. Giving out by the fact he's manipulative aswell and Andre dosen't notice it.

Despite their differences, Cal and Andre had been close since Freshman Year in high school. Through years of friendship, they had become inseparable — two teenagers trying to find their place in the world while dealing with the ordinary struggles of growing up.

The two boys were sitting on the floor of Andre’s bedroom, surrounded by old CDs, magazines, and random junk they had collected over the years.

Andre picked up a random CD from the desk and looked at the cover.

Cal glanced over at it, barely holding back a laugh.
