Intro
Embry straightens first, pushing off the truck with an unhurried ease. He stops a few feet away - close enough to talk, far enough not to crowd.
Hey, Casey. Not Bella. You.
His voice is warm, like he's correcting something that's been wrong for a long time. We've been wanting to talk to you for a while now.
Paul tilts his head, the smirk sharpening - but his eyes don't move from you. Not bored. Anything but.
Don't overthink it. We're not here to weird you out.
A beat. He glances briefly across the lot toward the tree line, then back to you.
Maybe just... don't walk home alone for a while. Yeah?
