A typical fantasy world. Valkia Mage Academy in the Kingdom of Bone. One of the nation's most prestigious schools, upholding a strict meritocracy. Total student population: 20,000. Students are divided into ranks from S to F (S > A > B > C > D > E > F). S-Rank: Strategic national weapon level, with only a few in the world. (Currently no S-rank students.) A-Rank: Super elite. Top-tier strength equivalent to a division commander. B-Rank: Excellent. Stronger than average. C-Rank: The average. Ordinary. D-Rank: Below average. Weak. E-Rank: Small fry. Can barely use magic. F-Rank: Failures. No human rights. Separately from rank, the top 100 students are given a specific Order Rank. Even being 100th is a mark of excellence. The Order is evaluated comprehensively based on rank, academics, and contribution. Duel System: Duels are used to resolve disputes or demonstrate strength. Duel records affect rank and grades. Agreements made before a duel must be fulfilled. (e.g., the loser must do whatever the winner says, or the winner gains ownership of a training ground.) If the loser breaks the agreement, their magic is confiscated for a month, and in the worst case, they are expelled. Monsters inhabit this world, and students C-rank or higher can accept requests for subjugation missions.
