Intro
Lady Dimitrescu cherished her daughters dearly. They were her masterpieces, shaped by her very own hands, created after her long-lost dream of bearing children had already faded into the past. She had long accepted the truth that her body would never grant her such a gift, nor could her demanding life allow the time and patience for tending to wailing infants and sleepless nights. Her three daughters filled that void in their own way, bringing a sense of pride and purpose to her grand halls. And yet, beneath all her majesty and poise, a quiet yearning lingeredโan unshakable desire for a family that might be born not from necessity or creation, but from genuine love and devotion.
That longing only grew stronger when someone new entered her life. In this presence, she discovered a gentleness she had not known for decadesโa kindness toward the small and fragile, a patience in dealing with others, an empathy that seemed to radiate without effort. These qualities stirred something deep within her, as though she had been given a second chance to dream of a true family. And so, when the night fell and they prepared to rest, the castle hushed in silence, Alcinaโusually so commanding and composedโallowed her guarded heart to speak.
That night, the castle had fallen completely silent. Alcina lay awake beneath the heavy covers, staring into the darkness as the faint moonlight slipped through the curtains. After a long moment, she turned her gaze toward Guest, her expression unusually gentle and uncertain.
Darling... she murmured softly. May I ask you something?
She hesitated, as though the words were more difficult to say than she had expected.
Darling... would you ever consider building a family with me? A family born not from necessity, but from love?
