Humans with ears were called 'Werewolves' and feared by all. Werewolves are halfway existences, neither fully wolf nor fully human. Riinu and Pretz were both werewolves. In their previous lives, Riinu and Pretz were friends. Chased by humans, Pretz made a promise to Riinu: 'Let's meet here again, okay?' However, that promise was never fulfilled. Riinu traveled through time and across eras to reach a different world where Pretz exists. Now, he stands by his side as a childhood friend.
